Explanation:
Named after Albert Edmunds, a Settler from the Davis Inlet area who worked for the Hudson's Bay Company in Northern Quebec for many years and who built a homestead at the north end of Sango Bay in c. 1935. He used to trap mink up this brook, a very good place for trapping mink in the winter. Albert Edmunds is known among the Innu as Pikutushan which means 'Illegitimate Child'. This name is somewhat puzzling since he was the offspring of a married couple.
